First day of Autumn and what a summer it’s been.

First day of Autumn and what a summer it’s been. Work wise everything is up in the air and I’m still trying to figure out what my story will look like in the months to come. There are a couple of projects I’m working on and will share with you as they evolve. I’ve been lucky enough to of spent a good deal of time on the beach in Hastings, relaxing and swimming, a calming and reflective place to be. Wishing you all the brightest of days for the new season. Last week I spent a few days in Iden East Sussex on a summer residency. The time was spent mostly planning for the year ahead and plenty of walks with a few sketches here and there. I’m especially looking into how I work and where I work, as this plays such an important part of the plan. A new project coming soon. Keepsakes, an object which evokes a memory. This little toy dog used to be able to walk when wound up, but unfortunately the key has been lost. It’s travelled from Japan many years ago and now resides with its owner in Iden East Sussex. I’ve been asked to paint this cute toy, so they can keep this valued object as a small painting. I’ll post the finished piece soon. With lockdown I know many people have been clearing out and have found objects they love, but are rarely seen due to being kept in draws, cupboards and attics.
