In the beginning
Hi, my name is Linda, born in Oxford, I have from a young age, loved painting, drawing and everything to do with paper and patterns. In recent times I have taken my passion into illustration and painting and now I work in many different mediums including paint, ink, oil pastel and collage.
I studied at the Camberwell College of Arts London, graduating in 1999 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.
After graduation, I continued with my love of drawing and painting on a personal level until 2010 when I founded the design studio Obiko, based in the seasisde town of Hastings UK, where I currently live.
January 2010, I started to sell luxury stationery to independent local shops in Hastings.
Within a year, Obiko products, could be found in some of the most sort after shops and art galleries worldwide from Liberty in London, Spiral in Tokyo to the Art Gallery North South Wales in Sydney.
March 2015, I started to change direction with my artwork, concentrating on more minimal hand-drawn designs. Much of my work is inspired by nature and objects of simplicity.
January 2019, saw the launch of the new Obiko website, which is now run alongside my community creative based project 'A Table Place For Art'
