Dirty art versus clean art, that is the question?
Today was a dirty art day, everything covered in oil stick. I’m heavy-handed when it comes to these sticks and can go through a lot in minutes. It’s all or nothing with me, there is no way I can have anything white and pristine around. All decks are cleared of anything which can be ruined by my oil stick fingers, I can then work freely.
It’s been a while since I’ve drawn a portrait, so here’s one of Èdouard Manet, this will keep me going until the next urge arises. I hope your day has been an enlightening one. "Cactus flowers" I’m always drawn to this plant, I think it’s because of the huge variety of shapes and sizes they come in like the saguaro cactus which can reach 40-60 feet. The flowers and fruit are also beautiful, which are found on the prickly pear. Maybe a new cacti series to come? #cactilove
