Yesterday I spent an enjoyable couple of hours on an online art class, drawing many hands with the @londondrawinggroup taken by @joshua.armitage and @frances.stanfield Like many people drawing hands and feet are avoided at all cost, but I immersed myself into the process and came out the other end with a new love for hands. Sunday morning in Hastings and all is okay. As you may know I have an exhibition 'Secrets from the Greenhouse’ currently showing @thecrownhastings in Hastings Old Town until 30th November. It’s the largest output of work I’ve managed to complete in quite a while. Thank you to all those who have already been along and for those who have asked about the work. There are boards 62x82cm £425.00 smaller framed works around £200 depending on size all mixed media and original A5 sketches £30 and £40

The past few months I’ve been working towards th

The past few months I’ve been working towards the upcoming exhibition ‘Secrets from the Greenhouse’ which will be held @thecrownhastings in the heart of Hastings Old Town for the month of November. This first mixed media series painted on board originated from a botanical study during a 6 month stay in Lisbon last year. There will be framed and unframed sketches too, perfect for a gift. I sketched all week, with work in between. It amazes me how my brain reminds me to do this. I spent a sun-filled day in Eastbourne yesterday. It took me to the @townergallery to see the enlightening film @fashionreimagined about Amy Powney fashion designer of Mother of Pearl who goes on a journey to produce her first sustainable collection, worth a watch even if you’re not into fashion. The gallery itself is preparing for hosting the Turner Prize, opening 28th September, looking forward to this especially as it’s so close. Most of the day was spent on the beach, clearing my head from all the clutter #townergallery #bythesea #sketchdaily
